Western Single Stack Skeet Machines run on 110 V AC. I'm working on a project to convert a Skeet Machine to run on 12 V DC. In the past I've run these off a 1500 watt inverter with a deep cycle battery. Works fine and gives several hours of operation. Wondering if a starter motor like this picture would work better. Starters don't like to run all the time, draw large amounts of power and can get hot. Don't want to burn out the gear case and blow the motor as well. Another approach may be to use a generator/starter like the old tractors had. Also thinking the wheel chair motors or 12v power winch might work. If you have any suggestions on good, better best ways forward I'd appreciate your feedback.
